Sustainable Fashion (Ethical & Environmentally Friendly)

  1. The world consumes about 80 billion new pieces of clothing every year. This is 400% more than the amount we consumed just two decades ago.

  2. Clothing is often considered disposable. The average American generates 82 lbs of textile waste each year.

  4. The leather tanning process is among the most toxic in all of the fashion supply chain. Workers are exposed to harmful chemicals on the job, while the waste generated pollutes natural water sources. Leather tannery workers have a far greater risk of cancer.

  5. 97% of items are made overseas. by people who don't share the same rights or protections and are some of the lowest paid workers in the world. Roughly 85% of all garment workers are women.
